Can I return products I ordered by mistake?

Optim-Elec return policy (consumer purchases):

Return eligibility:

  • 14-day return window : From delivery date to request submission. French consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU).
  • Condition : Product must be unused, unopened, in original packaging with all accessories and documentation.
  • Professional purchases : Different terms apply. B2B customers contact sales team for custom arrangements.

Reason for return:

  • Wrong product ordered by mistake
  • Ordered duplicate by error
  • Product specification incorrect (wrong voltage, size, connector type)
  • Customer's choice (change of mind) — restocking fee may apply

Request return within 14 days:

  • Email [email protected] with subject "Return request - [Order number]".
  • Include:
    • Order number and delivery date
    • Product model, brand, serial number
    • Reason for return
    • Confirmation product is unused and unopened

Return process:

  • Optim-Elec provides prepaid return shipping label via email.
  • You package item in original packaging with all components.
  • Drop off at carrier (Colissimo, DPD, etc.) or arrange pickup.
  • Optim-Elec receives and inspects returned item.
  • Refund processed : Full refund of purchase price (minus shipping cost if not defective) within 5-7 business days to original payment method.

Important notes:

  • Opened/used products : Return eligibility voided. However, contact Optim-Elec for discussion if opened by mistake.
  • Special orders (custom Socomec systems, configured equipment) : Non-returnable as customized.
  • Clearance/discounted items : May have restocking fee or limited return window. Check at purchase.
