What if the products I received are damaged but the parcel looks fine?

Damaged products in intact parcel procedure:

Immediate action:

  • Do not discard damaged items or packaging. Keep all protective materials as evidence for claim.
  • Take detailed photos of:
    • Damaged product (all angles, close-ups of defects)
    • Original packaging and protective material
    • Serial numbers and product labels
    • Delivery receipt
  • Save all invoices and packing slips from the parcel.

Report within 3 business days:

  • Email [email protected] with subject "Damaged product in parcel".
  • Include:
    • Order number and tracking number
    • Photos of damaged product(s) and packaging
    • Description of damage (broken parts, corrosion, cosmetic damage, non-functional)
    • Product model, brand (Socomec, Finder, Omron, etc.), and serial number
    • Your delivery address and date received

Resolution options:

  • Replacement : New product shipped immediately. You return original via prepaid shipping label from Optim-Elec.
  • Refund : Full refund issued. You return damaged item or retain per insurance terms.
  • Repair : For cosmetic damage on high-value Socomec equipment, manufacturer repair may be offered.

Processing time : Replacement typically ships within 24-48 hours. Return shipping handled by Optim-Elec. Refund processes within 5-7 business days to original payment method.

Manufacturer warranty: If product defect (not shipping damage), manufacturer warranty may cover repair or replacement directly. Optim-Elec facilitates warranty claims for Socomec, Finder, Omron products.
