How can I access remote data from measurement units?

Remote data retrieval protocols:

  • Modbus RTU (RS485) : Industrial standard. Twisted-pair shielded cable up to 1200m. 9600–38400 baud. Real-time parameter polling. Compatible with most SCADA/PLC systems.
  • Modbus TCP/IP (Ethernet) : TCP/IP protocol over standard Ethernet (RJ45). Low latency, simultaneous multi-client access. Ideal modern data centers and cloud integration.
  • Profibus DP : Fieldbus protocol for deterministic real-time data. Used in advanced industrial automation (Siemens PLC, ABB systems).
  • Wi-Fi / cellular gateway : Optional modules (Socomec ION-series) provide wireless connectivity. Data pushed to cloud dashboard or MQTT broker. Geolocation flexibility; no cable runs.
